Data of importance collected by Infofish Services includes tagged fish, catch and effort, released fish rates, and hooking locations (where the hook is lodged in fish) that are used in assessing fish survival. Infofish Services has records of over 630,000 fish tagged, over 50,000 fish recaptured, over 26,000 fishing trips and over 30,000 hooking locations throughout Queensland.
As well as maintaining ANSA tagging data, Infofish Services also stores data for projects involving tagging for the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation, and other Fish Stocking Groups.
Infofish Services is now considered to be the prime database for fish tagging in Queensland, as well as the rest of Australia.
